On May 11, 2011 Assistant Coach of Mickey's Majorettes, Mr. Shane Downing went to be our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Shane Downey Award!
In 2012, at the Southwest Regions Miss Majorette and Regional championships, the Shane Downey Memorial Award was presented to the winner of the Miss Majorette of the Southwest pageant, (or the Senior Advance pageant winner).
Presenting the Shane Downey award at the 2012 South West Regional was Shirley Payne and Sheila Payne Rigelsky along with Patti, Kayli and Jon Mickey.
